Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th of December, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift is a pop/country singer-songwriter since the age of 20. The stories she tells of her young love and heartbreak are gaining her acclaim in the 21st Century. Swift loved the music scene from a very early age. Swift quickly rose up the ranks, beginning as a child actor and eventually performing in front of an audience of thousands. As Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of Philadelphia 76ers fans at a football game aged 11 she had already begun writing songs. After that she began playing guitar. She drew inspiration from the singers from country music like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift's family relocated into Tennessee from Pennsylvania at the age of 13so she would have more time exploring country music labels in Nashville.
